Scott Anemoia--nostalgia for a time one has never known--is a new word (coined in 2012) but one that is welcome to the language. Reminds me of Søren Kierkegaard's quote: “The most painful state of being is remembering the future, particularly the one you'll never have.”

This album isn't as oppressively dark as that, feeling more like a fuzzy blanket than a smothering shroud. There seems to be not only room for the memory but for hope as well, and that is a welcome sentiment indeed. Favorite track: Anemoia.

"Anemoia" : a nostalgia for a time you've never known

The album is a response to nostalgia and a presence of time that is never known.
Cities with a temporal frame flow upon who occupy and elapse, who gaze up at the same moon, sleep in the paired houses as you might live now, breathe the same air, have conversations about life, et cetera.
We look at it as timelessness quality or value but with music or art.
Somehow rooted in the past and forever stamped upon the environment leaving phantom traces or footprints all around forbearingly waiting to be discovered and to extend in themselves to reconstitute.
As we leave traces of sole past into the now, we also vacate to the farther who might pick up our traces or footprints during the journey to expand in themselves and unite values & qualities to produce locations, motives, and memories without abandoning them.
The music in the album creates fragile, sonic possibilities of haunting hymns of one's past, An act-continuum in which part is memory in the obscure.
